Hop & Learn

Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026. Applies to the Hop & Learn app for iPhone and iPad.

The short version

Hop & Learn does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal information. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no in-app purchases, and it works without an internet connection.

What stays on the device

To remember where your child is, the app saves a small file on the device itself: the chosen language, grade and subject, the sound settings, which stages are unlocked, the stars earned and which lessons were opened. This file never leaves the device. Deleting the app deletes it.

Reading questions aloud

When "read aloud" is on, the app uses the text-to-speech voice built into the device. The text is spoken by the operating system; Hop & Learn does not send it anywhere.

What we do not do

  • We do not ask for a name, email address, photo, location, contacts or any other personal information.
  • We do not use the camera, microphone or photo library.
  • We do not include advertising, analytics or tracking software, and we do not read the advertising identifier.
  • We do not link out to other websites from inside the app, and there is no chat.

Children

Hop & Learn is made for children. Because it collects no personal information, it does not collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age set by local law, such as under 16 in parts of the EU). This is in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR.

Apple

Apple may collect information when you download or use apps from the App Store, such as crash reports if you have agreed to share them with developers. That is covered by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
